General Questions

Am I able to customize my marketing dashboard myself?

As a premium reporting partner, our data & BI reporting experts handle all dashboard modifications for you. This saves you valuable time and also ensures that all data is reflected accurately.

Arena Calibrate provides full service BI support along with comprehensive analytics platform access.

We do offer a self-service edit option for clients who absolutely want to handle all customizations themselves, reach out to calibrate@thearena.ai if you would like to learn more about this.

Who is Arena Calibrate’s parent company?

Arena Calibrate has been developed as a separate line of business by Position2, an innovative digital marketing agency that accelerates demand through integrated Content Marketing, Paid Acquisition, and Marketing Technology solutions.

Position2 serves hundreds of clients ranging from VC-funded startups to Fortune 500 multinational firms. Our 200-member team is based in Silicon Valley and Bangalore which consists of marketing gurus, engineers, data scientists, writers, and designers.

Is there a free version available?

We offer Arena Lite as a free version that offers up to 5 standard data connections and templated dashboards.

However Arena Lite does not include any accompanying custom reporting configuration and BI services.

Our Arena Pro Business and Arena Pro Agency plans both offer a 30 day free trial, so you can better evaluate if Arena Calibrate is the right reporting solution for you.

What data connector access does Arena Calibrate require?

Arena Calibrate requires Read Only access.

Data from your connected sources is pulled in to your accounts data warehouse, which then is pulled into your respective reporting.

Please note that you will not be able to make any changes to your campaigns from within your Arena Calibrate account.

Your data is 100% secure. Arena Calibrate partners with Snowflake and Fivetran to securely connect, pull, and store data from each connected source.

Data Security

What happens to my data if I stop using Arena Calibrate?

If you decide to stop using Arena Calibrate for a period of 60 days without activity, your account will be temporarily paused/suspended for security, and data will be archived.

If you decide to completely cancel / shut down your account, any data that has been associated with your account and/or connector activity will be deleted across the Arena Calibrate ecosystem.

Rest assured, all of your platform data will ONLY be deleted from the Arena Calibrate platform - NOT in the data sources / platforms themselves.

Does the Arena Calibrate platform change or alter my campaigns in any way?

No. Arena Calibrate acts solely as an analytics & reporting solution - not a campaign management tool.

Our system utilizes read-only access for any data sources connected to your account. This enables our systems and APIs to automatically pull campaign data into the dashboard, but not alter or edit any live campaign settings, parameters, budgets, and ads.

Will my data be secure?

Yes. Connections to your data sources and destinations are SSL encrypted by default. Connections also utilize Read-only data permissions for our database and API cloud applications.

Our ETL connection system (via Fivetran), will never utilize any permissions beyond read-only for data sources that grant additional permissions by default. Fivetran maintains an Information Security Management System (ISMS) that complies with the requirements of ISO 27001 (Security, Availability, and Confidentiality criteria). ISO/IEC 27001 certification applies to the overall Fivetran infrastructure and all products. Also Fivetran adheres to the principles of the EU94/95 privacy rules and HIPAA requirements. Snowflake powers our data warehouse solution, and has achieved FedRAMP Authorization to Operate (ATO) at the Moderate level. In addition, support for ITAR compliance, SOC 1 & 2 Type 2, PCI DSS compliance, and support for HITRUST compliance all validate the level of Snowflake security required by industries, and state and federal governments. AWS QuickSight powers Arena Calibrate’s BI visualization software. QuickSight is a secure platform with multi-region availability and built-in redundancy. Amazon Quicksight is part of the AWS assurance program and is currently assessed for SOC (1,2,3), PCI, DSS, ISO, ISMAP, HIPAA, IRAP, MTCS, C5, K-ISMS, OSPAR, HITRUST CSF, CyberGFX FINMA. What account information and data permissions are required?

You have 100% control what data sources / platforms you’d like to integrate into your account.

Each data source has a step-by-step process for you to follow that will permit the automatic flow of campaign data to be pulled into your Arena Calibrate dashboard.

Please be assured that your data is 100% private and secure - we use highly secure connectors from Fivetran to connect and pull data from each platform connected.

Can I add additional platforms/data sources to my Arena Calibrate dashboard?

Beyond the data sources that are listed in the packages, we offer the ability to integrate 60+ data sources.

Additional data sources are charged based on if it is considered a standard data source, or an advanced data source.

What data is pulled into your platform when I connect my Marketing Automation or CRM platform?

Data aggregates are mainly used for reporting and visualizations (e.g., lead numbers, lead source, stages, etc.). We essentially use the contact's email address to clean up duplicates and correlate the data across systems.

Other forms of PII (name, phone number, address, etc.), comments/email communication with each contact, etc., ARE TYPICALLY EXCLUDED from the data pull when we configure the connectors.

Each Marketing Automation or CRM platform has differences in data set up, which is why custom implementations are required.

How do I connect to data that’s stored in a SQL database?

Arena Calibrate supports connections to the most popular databases available, including:

  • Google Cloud
  • AWS RDS
  • Microsoft Azure
  • Oracle, Snowflake
  • SQL Server and more

I want to add a data source that is not in the Arena Calibrate’s list. What’s the process for that?

How do I remove a data source that I have connected?

Simply click the Disconnect button in the Data Sources tab to remove a data source that has previously been connected.

What basic data export types does Arena Calibrate support? For example, CSV, Excel, JSON, Google sheets, etc.?

Arena Calibrate’s dashboards and/or reports can be exported into CSV, Excel, or PDF.

Reporting

Can I set up custom automated reporting through Arena Calibrate?

Fully custom reports are available to you with our Arena Pro Business and Arena Pro Agency Plan. We’ll connect with you to understand your requirements, and then we’ll configure the report based on the data available.

Can I share Arena Calibrate dashboards and reports with additional users?

You can easily share access to your accounts reports or dashboards with internal team members or external stakeholders either via PDF, or through the sharing functionality available.

How often is analytics/performance reporting data updated in the Arena Calibrate dashboard?

Data is typically refreshed in Arena Calibrate every 6 hours for all connected platforms, however the data-refresh window can be customized based on your needs.

Can I customize my dashboard?

Arena Calibrate’s software and services are packaged to help businesses and agencies reach their ideal reporting configuration as fast as possible. Our team of BI experts and account managers typically handles all edits to data & reporting in a streamlined process.

How are automatic campaign performance insights calculated in the platform?

If this is something that you would like added into your account, we custom develop machine learning algorithms to help you uncover hidden insights and trends in your data. Also our anomaly detection capabilities automatically searches through your data for outliers, either above or below certain thresholds, and then they are visible in your account.
